Regenerative medicine is an attempt to cure diseases by raising the body’s natural healing power and it is an ideal treatment for the body when it has become possible. Also, expectations from various patients are getting bigger as new treatment. In 2012, the Nobel Prize in Medicine and Physiology awarded to the professor Shinya Yamanaka of Kyoto University for the discovery that mature cells can be reprogrammed to become pluripotent. In 2014, the world’s first regenerative therapy using iPS cells achieved by Dr. Masashi Takahashi is also attracting very strong attention.
